Lakenheath Airmen respond to emergency exercise

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Tech. Sgt. James Wrisley (left) , 48th Security Forces Squadron flight chief, passes information regarding the scene during an emergency response and mass casualty exercise, June 8, 2011. Airmen from the 48th Fighter Wing responded to the incident after a simulated fuel line ruptured, spilling more than 15,000 gallons of jet fuel and causing a collision between a bus, a privately owned vehicle and a group of Airmen participating in physical training. The purpose of the exercise was to validate and evaluate multiple procedures when responding to such a scenario. (U.S. Air Force photo /Tech. Sgt. Lee A. Osberry Jr.)
