E. coli warning issued to Liberty Warriors

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- This colorized scanning electron micrograph depicts a number of E. coli bacteria. Due to the recent outbreak of E. coli in northern Germany, the Department of Defense has restricted the sale of European-procured lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and bean sprouts on base. There are no known cases among DOD or RAF Lakenheath personnel. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention photo illustration/ Janice Haney Carr)
