ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Lt. Col. Everett Ong, 48th Dental Squadron general dentist and clinical flight commander, uses a composite curing light to harden the composite on the teeth of Staff Sgt. Christy Boyd, 48th DS NCO in charge of general dentistry, at the dental clinic on Jan. 19. The blue light is a near ultra-violet light that is blocked by an orange shield to protect the dentist's eyes. The dental clinic treats more than 33,000 patients a year.
