Freshly painted F-15A rolls out at Duxford Museum

Col. John Quintas, 48th Operations Group commander, thanks the team of volunteers who repainted an F-15A aircraft for display in the Imperial War Museum Duxford June 5, 2009. The Airmen from RAF Lakenheath’s 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron corrosion control flight, volunteered approximately 70 hours each of off-duty time over a period of eight weeks to restore the aircraft to its original 5th Fighter Intercept Squadron markings.
