48th Medical Group keep Airmen Fit to Fight

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Major Kenneth Bode, 48th Surgical Operations Squadron orthopedic surgeon sutures one of the small incisions after performing arthroscopic shoulder surgery on Tech. Sgt. Christopher Campbell, 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs non-commissioned officer in charge of internal operations April 29, 2009 at the 48th Medical Group Hospital. Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure, with small incisions for the scope and tools. This reduces recovery time and may increase the rate of surgical success due to less trauma to the connective tissue. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Perry Aston) (Released)
