How does the individual portray that core value?
Kiel is a hard charger and an invaluable member of the 48th EMS Inspection Section. He demonstrates his drive and devotion towards excellence by not only completing his Career Development Courses two months ahead of schedule, but also earning an "Outstanding" 95% end of course exam score. His natural ability to lead fosters an environment that allows him and his peers to excel. He consistently portrays the qualities of a true military professional.
Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
I believe in family and high morals. Joining the Air Force allows me to be a part of one of the greatest families, serving alongside my fellow brothers -and sisters-in-arms, supporting a cause far bigger than myself. I honestly feel that as a member of the USAF I can do my part to uphold a legacy of honor and valor to ensure my mother, father and wife can continue to enjoy the freedoms they have been provided by those who have served before me.
What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
Since I am fairly new to the Air Force, I feel my most significant accomplishment is finishing my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering along with completing my 5 level CDCs in five months. I love working on and maintaining the F-15 aircraft. I have upheld a 100% quality assurance pass rate in all my assigned areas and personnel evaluations since being assigned as a phase inspection crew chief.
What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My personal goals are to continue my education while in the service to achieve a Master in Aeronautical Engineering and to pursue a commission for officer training school to become an F-15 fighter pilot. Upon retirement, I wish to one day open a small restaurant with my wife and be a chef in my hometown.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The best part of my job is that I get to come to work each day and know that I am directly influencing the capabilities of U.S. airpower by maintaining advanced, multi-million dollar F-15 aircraft, ensuring they can continue to defend our freedoms.
